Industry trade body Energy North has launched the fourth outing of its annual awards this week.
The September 4 ceremony will traditionally celebrate companies and individuals who made an outstanding contribution to the success of the Highlands and Islands’ oil and gas and renewable sectors.
But this year it will also recognise businesses from Aberdeen City and Shire to reflect the body’s growing membership from the region.
The organisation has also added two new awards for 2014: Best Innovation and Best Trainee/Apprentice.
Businesses, their clients, organisational bodies, and individuals can nominate participants for one of the categories listed below, who are based within the Energy North catchment, including Shetland, Orkney, the Outer Hebrides, Caithness, Ross-shire, Inverness, Moray, Aberdeen City and Shire and Argyll.
“The past 12 months have been an exciting time for Energy North and the north of Scotland’s energy industry,” said Ian Couper, chief executive of Energy North.
“Across the region there’s been much investment in infrastructure and workforce development, and activity from the Energy North Oil and Gas Taskforce is starting to progress rapidly.
“There is clearly a great deal to celebrate in the industry, and we’re very much looking forward to receiving entries and sharing good news from across the region.”
