International energy service group Hunting has appointed a new regional manager for Norway as it looks to expand in the Scandinavian oil and gas market.
Former account manager at Norwegian oilfield firm TCO Ørjan Frøyland joins Hunting to oversee the establishment of the company’s brand in Scandinavia, building on Hunting’s successful businesses in the North Sea, USA and Asia Pacific.
Frøyland will be responsible for developing the use of Hunting’s range of well construction, well completion and well intervention products in the region, with a particular focus on the growing Norwegian and Danish markets.
“Hunting already has a successful track record in Norway, with our specialist equipment being used by a number of operators within the region and the establishment of a full time presence within the country will give us the platform upon which we can react nimbly to market demands as we consolidate our worldwide offering to existing and prospective clients,” said Bruce Ferguson, Hunting’s managing director.
“Ørjan’s expertise and experience of the Scandinavian market really does speak for itself and we’re delighted to welcome him to Hunting at what is an incredibly exciting time for the growth of the firm.”
