An extensive contact directory of north oil and gas businesses has been published by trade body Energy North.
The contacts book provides details of more than 80 businesses from Orkney, Shetland, Caithness and Sutherland, the Outer Hebrides, Ross-shire, Wester Ross, Invenressshire, Moray and Argyll. It was built as part of the Energy North Oil and Gas Taskforce to support UK businesses.
Ian Couper, chief executive at Energy North, said: “The north energy industry benefits from an excellent supply-chain with a wealth of capabilities and experience built up over the past decades. However, for developers and top tier contractors coming into the region, it can be hard to identify the right suppliers for the job.”
The guide was supported by the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and it is hoped to bring around more opportunities for companies in the Highlands and Islands.
