BNK Petroleum has named Ray W. Payne as its vice president for US operations.
Ray has extensive experience in the industry, his most recent position saw him develop Marathon Oil’s South Texas Eagle Ford shale asset. He also served as a director of the New Mexico Oil and Gas Association and chaired efforts to promote responsible energy development.
Ford Nicholson, chairman of BNK, said: “I am very pleased that Mr. Payne has joined the Company. We had conducted an extensive search for a highly qualified individual to oversee the company’s operational growth plans in the US.
“I am confident that Mr. Payne’s previous experience will help us maximize the potential of our ongoing projects.”
Ray earned a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University. He replaces former Vice President Martin Robert.
