An offshore worker has been airlifted to hospital from a North Sea platform following a medical emergency.
The crewman was working on the Tiffany platform which is 155 miles north east of Aberdeen.
A Bond helicopter from the Miller Platform flew to the Tiffany platform after the alarm was raised.
A spokesman from the coastguard said: “We got a call this morning from the Tiffany platform just before 9.25am.
“A request was made for an immediate helicopter evacuation as a crewmen had taken ill.
“A Bond 1 helicopter was diverted from the Miller platform and the man was convened to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he arrived at around 11.43am.”
The CNR platform began first oil in 1993 and consists of the Tiffany, Toni and Thelma fields, located in the Central North Sea.
