The Supreme Court in the Netherlands has given a final verdict in favour of Ecopetrol.
It comes after Llanos Oil Exploration filed a lawsuit in 2011.
The Dutch Supreme Court dismissed an appeal by Llanos Oil Exploration in which they declared there wa sno jurisdiction to render judgement on the termination of the Guatapuri association contract in 2003.
It means a a damages claim by the company will also lose all legal basis.
