Tag Oil has appointed a new chief operating officer.
Frank Jacob joins the Canadian oil and gas firm with 35 years’ experience in the industry where his responsibilities included operation management, corporate acquisitions, and the development of existing oil and gas production.
He has previously worked for Cue Energy, Barcoo Petroleum and Esso Timor Sea.
Alex Guidi, chairman of the firm, said he was happy to have the opportunity to work with Mr Jacob.
He added: ‘Frank will work closely with our sub surface team in New Zealand and I have the upmost confidence that he will ensure our oil and gas field development is properly executed, and the value of our assets are maximized.
“He is also one of the most successful production acquisition specialists I have ever known, and his wealth of operational and engineering experience will be a great benefit to TAG.”
