Amec Foster Wheeler said it has been awarded an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract worth $113million for the Cullinan Mill extension in South Africa.
The project, near Pretoria, follows successful FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) work on Cullinan by the company.
The contract will be executed by Amec Foster Wheeler’s South African mining company, MDM Engineering.
The contract is to provide the design, procurement and construction services for the mine’s six million ton per annum milling, Dense Media Separation and sorting process facilities.
Earlier this week, Amec Foster Wheeler announced it had won a £30million contract on the Glen Lyon project, creating up to 150 jobs.
