Russia’s Energy Minister has said an oil price of $50 next year would be “fair”.
According to reports, Alexander Novak said in a television interview there was unlikely to be “a sharp surge in prices”.
He said prices had been around the same mark at the beginning of 2014.
Novak added: “Today we see the price of oil at $36. We see volatility but in the beginning of the year the prices were higher, on average they were slightly higher than $50, that is why we hope that in 2016 the price will be approximately on this level.”
