The current boss of OneSubsea will takeover as the chief executive of Aibel.
Mads Andersen, 51, will step into the role from January next year after current head Jan Skogseth steps down following his 62nd birthday.
Andersen is a qualified engineer and business economist and was part of the executive management team at Aker Solutions for several years.
The company said it had undertaken a thorough and extensive process in the selection of the new chief executive.
Aibel said their new appointment has extensive experience of the oil and gas industry, both within project execution, subsea and international business.
Andersen said:”The company has a strong position within field development, the maintenance and modification market as well as renewables. This position, as well as opportunities within new areas, provide the company with an excellent basis for further development.
