The newly created Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has unveiled its full portfolio of ministerial responsibilities.
The department will be led by Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Greg Clark.
He will work across all areas, bringing together responsibilities for business, industrial strategy, science, innovation and energy.
It will include ensuring the country has secure energy supplies, ensuring the UK remains at the edge of science, research and innovation and developing and delivering a comprehensive industrial strategy.
His team will include Nick Hurd as Minister of State for Climate Change and Industry. His brief will include carbon budgets, climate science and innovation and green economy including the Green Investment Bank.
Jo Johnson will act as Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation. His work will include higher education, science and research and innovation.
Baroness Neville-Rolfe is Minister of State for Energy and Intellectual Property.
Her brief will include Energy with Jesse Norman, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Minister for Industry and Energy.
Baroness Neville-Rolfe will cover nuclear, oil and gas, low carbon generation, security of supply, electricity and gas wholesale markets and networks and energy efficiency and heat.
