Oil engineering consultancy Magma Products says is looking to set up an office in Houston in the wake of its recent expansion in Aberdeen.
Managing director Paul Rushton told Energy Voice that opening their first international office in the US oil industry capital was now on the cards.
“We have a meeting with two majors in Houston this October and if that is as successful as we hope we would be opening an office in Houston,” said Paul Rushton.
The consultancy recently moved to a new office in Aberdeen’s Spires Business Park, at a cost of more than £750,000, having recorded impressive growth since launching four years ago.
Despite the on-going skills shortage blighting the industry, Rushton said the company has no problems finding new staff – and is looking to employ another 20 staff by the end of the year.
