Aberdeen-based engineering consultancy Apply Altra has bolstered its technical team with two new appointments.
Alex McDonald joins as technical safety lead while David Leake has been named structural engineering lead at the two newly created specialist teams.
A former marine engineer, McDonald brings more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of loss prevention and reliability and risk management in the oil and gas industry.
With 17 years’ experience as a chartered engineer working across the UK, Middle East and Africa, Leake will be responsible for building the company’s structural discipline.
“We wanted to strengthen our current team and so it was important to place people in leadership positions that would help us to achieve this and drive forward the operations of the company,” said Andy Redman, Apply Altra’s technical director.
“The appointment of Alex and David will enable us to develop our services to work with clients on projects which are very significant in scale.”
