Aberdeen oil and gas consultancy Maxoil Solutions has a new corporate strategy adviser to drive its growth.
Bill Cochrane will work with senior management to expand the firm’s operations internationally.
Maxoil, which was launched in 2004 and now also operates from London, Norway, the US, Kuala Lumpur and Australia, said Mr Cochrane came with a wealth of industry experience.
His 38 years in a variety of specialist roles include, most recently, a spell as business development director for the Americas at Granite City energy service firm Wood Group PSN.
Mr Cochrane said: “I am extremely excited to be joining Maxoil.
“I look forward to drawing on my experience to assist the company in developing into a truly internationally-recognised leader in its specialist areas.”
Maxoil managing director Mel Dow said: “We’re thrilled to welcome someone of Bill’s calibre.
“He’s exceptionally well-experienced and, through tapping into his unrivalled industry expertise, I’ve no doubt he’ll play a key role in further expanding our operations across the globe.”
Meanwhile, helicopter operator Bristow Group has named John Briscoe as senior vice-president and chief financial Officer.
Mr Briscoe, previously senior vice-president and chief financial officer of US energy service giant Weatherford International, starts his new job on Monday.
He takes over from Jonathan Baliff, who will serve as Bristow’s president until he becomes chief executive – taking over from retiring CEO William Chiles – on July 31.
