Global oil and gas consultancy Maxoil Solutions has made a new appointment to its team of specialists.
Simon Schapira is a chemistry consultant and technical authority on corrosion with 25 years’ experience in upstream and midstream oil and gas operations.
He will work for the company in its offices across Houston, Perth, Australia and Stavanger in Norway.
The focus of his work will be around corrosion monitoring and mitigation.

“The strength of Maxoil Solutions is in the depth of the knowledge we can call upon and Simon will bring specialist insight in the field of corrosion at an important stage in our development.”
During his 25 years in the energy sector, Mr Schapira has diversified to include onsite corrosion risk assessments and failure investigations along with consultancy on best practises for the monitoring and mitigation of internal corrosion.
He said: “I look forward to playing my part in the next stage in the growth of Maxoil Solutions.

In June, Maxoil appointed Bill Cochrane to work for the consultancy as its new corporate strategy adviser.
