Lundin Petroleum has confirmed that its senior vice president will leave at the end of January.
Chris Bruijnzeels will join ShaMaran Petroleum, in which Lundin is a shareholder, as president and chief executive.
Mr Bruijnzeels has been with Lundin for 12 years holding a mix of technical and commercial roles.
Ashley Heppenstall, president and chief executive, said: “Chris has been a very important member of the management team at Lundin Petroleum, overseeing the teams responsible for our operations and our development projects through an exciting and successful growth period for the Company.
“I am pleased that Chris will remain close to the Company in his new role at ShaMaran, and everyone at Lundin Petroleum wishes him all the best.”
Lundin Petroleum has started looking for Mr Bruijnzeels’s replacement.
