An Aberdeen-headquartered valve supplier has clinched an exclusive UK distribution deal with a Spanish firm.
Denholm Valvecare’s pact with IBOR Valves will see products and services offered in both directions.
Bosses at Denholm said the deal would add design and manufacturing capabilities to its sales and servicing offering.
IBOR Valves, meanwhile, will benefit from the North Sea experience at Denholm, which is part of the Denholm Oilfield Services group.
Denholm managing director Roy Wood said: “Having the support of a design and manufacturing specialist, such as IBOR Valves, in the current climate strengthens our existing capability and provides a significant competitive edge.
“We are pleased to work closely with another family-run business, one that shares the same values as those of the Denholm group, and we look forward to growing together and further developing this relationship.”
Barcelona-based IBOR Valves is a family-run firm which has clients in oil and gas and petrochemical industries and has operations in Russia, China, Mexico, Iran and the Middle East.
IBOR Valves managing director Eduard Iborra said: “We are excited about the opportunity to work in partnership with such a respected firm as Denholm Valvecare.
“This new agreement will act as an important gateway into the UK for the company and will also set a new benchmark in terms of quality for valve operations in the oil and gas industry.”
