It’s November, which, after an enforced absence last year, means it’s time for ADIPEC.
For the first time in nearly two years, it gives us an opportunity to interact face-to-face within our industry in Abu Dhabi. Looking back to November 2019, it’s hard to imagine the dramatic turn of events that were to follow through 2020 and are still ongoing to some extent through 2021.
Tendeka, like every other company, had to deal with significant challenges. However, in the Middle East we are fortunate to have cornerstone contracts which maintained activity throughout.
This was not always easy, with the health and safety of our employees, business partners and clients obviously first and foremost. Working together, we were able to ensure that all client objectives were met in the face of challenging Covid-19 protocols, which I strongly believe is a testimony to our industry’s ability to adapt to the most difficult environments.
Even during these challenging times, we were able to continue the introduction and deployment of our suite of technologies, in particular, PulseEight, FloFuse and FloSure.
Looking towards 2022, with sustainability being the necessity we must all embrace, the utilisation of solutions that contribute to this are key.
Our FloSure and FloFuse technologies can significantly increase well productivity whilst reducing unwanted water and gas, which in turn reduces the carbon footprint of a new well. For existing wells, these same technologies can be retrofitted to enhance oil recovery, which can contribute to fewer new wells being drilled, again, leading to reduced carbon output. Our wireless intelligent completions system, PulseEight can enable existing wells shut in due to inoperative components to be brought back online again, significantly reducing the need for an expensive new well.
Over the next 12 months we will be introducing a new range of production enhancement solutions which are focused on maximising returns from existing and new wells, all with the intent of reducing carbon footprint.
The recent steep increase in oil prices will no doubt impact the activity levels in the GCC, in particular, which gives our industry something, I hope, to look forward to over the next year after a difficult and uncertain period.
I’m very positive about our industry and Tendeka’s business outlook going forward, as I see our solutions having strong applications in the drive to reduce our overall impact on the planet.
Tendeka will be showcasing its solutions at Stand CN122 at ADIPEC.
