The APAC Assembly is the go-to meeting place for energy executives looking to map the investment strategies that will enable them to capitalize on emerging opportunities and thrive in a low carbon era.
This year we will welcome 300 c-level executives from across the entire Upstream value chain – including IOCs, NOCs, small to mid-cap E&P companies, financiers & investors, OFS/EPC companies and the region’s key regulatory bodies.

In the lead-up to this year’s Asia Pacific Energy Capital Assembly, the Energy Council has spent many hours consulting with our network of senior energy executives, financiers and investors, regarding the problems keeping them up at night, and the opportunities getting them up each morning.
Throughout these conversations, an undisputed trend has emerged – that the wave of energy transition has well and truly hit the shores of Asia Pacific. Not only in the expected locales the likes of Australia, Singapore and South Korea, but in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and China too. While few will argue energy demand in Asia necessitates the continued production of conventional energy resources, there is a distinct diversion of focus by regional stakeholders towards transitional strategies.
Our 2022 APAC Assembly Agenda has therefore been constructed with the transitioning oil and gas stakeholder in mind. The Assembly will provide a space for our network of Upstream actors, whether they be operators, equity-holders, service providers, or financiers, to discuss their energy transition roadmaps and compare notes on strategic approaches.
As we recognise the importance of conventional energy production to meet rising energy demands in the region, we will continue to address the challenges facing E&P projects, such as a plateau of new resource discoveries, increased pressure from ESG conditionalities, and a seemingly stagnating M&A market. However, this is complemented by a discussion of the new energy opportunities available to Upstream stakeholders, and the investment strategies that will help them capitalise on these emerging opportunities.
This will include discussions dedicated to new energy products and technologies the likes of Hydrogen, CCS and Offshore Wind, with IOCs, NOCs, financiers, investors, and technology providers all providing their take on the potential for development of these new energy opportunities in the APAC region.
With less than 1 week to go until the Assembly takes place, Register Now to join us and hear from influential voices the likes of:
– Syrie Crouch, Vice President, CCS, Shell
– Pak Iman Rachman, Director of Strategy, Portfolio & New Ventures, PERTAMINA
– En. Mohamed Firouz Asnan, Senior Vice President, Malaysia Petroleum Management
