This infographic shows how carbon emissions compare in the UK to the rest of the world.
Despite the country being one of the 20 countries with the worst carbon emissions in the world, this data shows how it has reduced this from 27.6% since 1992.
The UK’s significant drop in carbon emissions is due to less use of coal and gas to generate electricity.
Amongst other reasons, installation of building installation, vehicle fuel efficiency standards and changes in the economy’s structure seem to be the cause for lower CO2 emissions in the UK.
