Vattenfall is looking to fill 130 new positions in its wind energy business over the next 12 months.
It comes as the company looks to invest a further €5billion in European renewbale energy projects.
The Swedish power company currently has around 28,000 employees worldwide.
It is predominantly looking for specialists in areas such as commercial, engineering, project management and site operations.
The aim would be for the new staff members to help the company reach its goal of expanding wind capacity by 400MW-to-600MW each year.
A spokesman for the company said the energy transition is already “well under way”.
Projects currently on the drawing board include offshore windfarms in Germany, Scotland and Denmark.
