Atlantis Resources looks set to have all four of its turbines installed and connected to the grid by the end of the year.
The company said the Neptune jack-up rig used to sink the turbine support structures has been demobilised from the site.
When it comes on stream MeyGen will be the world’s largest tidal project.
Atlantis said the offshore operation was a “resounding success” which had “validated the use of jack up vessels” for the purpose of installing tidal turbine foundations offshore in high flow locations.
The firm added: “The use of a jack-up rig for the installation is significant for the future of the industry offering a flexible and fast installation solution.”
