EDF Energy Renewables has bought 11 Scottish windfarm locations after striking a deal with asset managers Partnership for Renewables.
The deal includes 10 public sector sites and one private estate in Moss Castle, Dumfriesshire.
Most of the projects are on land managed by Forest Enterprise Scotland.
The potential capacity for these sites is around 600MW.
Three of the sites with around 100 MW have already been granted planning permission.
The deal adds to their current 319MW in operation in Scotland with more than 1 GW in development, including the fully consented 340MW Lewis Wind Farm projects.
EDF Energy Renewables chief executive Matthieu Hue said: “We are very pleased to be adding these ‘Partnerships for Renewables’ projects to our portfolio.
“EDF Energy Renewables has a well-established strategy to grow our business either by developing our own sites or through acquiring high calibre projects. This deal underlines our ambitions to develop our business further and to expand the number of windfarm projects we are developing.”
