Wind turbine manufacturer Senvion has reached a redundancy deal as it bids to to axe 780 jobs.
The German firm said the cuts will mainly affect operations in Husum, Trampe and Bremerhaven.
The firm also has offices in Edinburgh and a network of service centre but there was no one available to comment on whether jobs in the UK would be affected.
According to its website, Senvion installed more turbines in the UK than any other supplier last year.
The company reached a redundancy deal with employees this week in negotiations involving German trade union IG Metall.
In March this year Senvion signed a contract to supply and install 47 wind turbines in the UK.
