E.on blamed poor offshore wind generation in the UK for a decrease in sales in the first half of 2017.
The company reported an increase in onshore wind and solar sales, but took a substantial financial hit in its offshore energy operations.
Offshore wind and other renewable sales decreased in the first half of 2017 by £10.8million to £290million.
E.on’s group sales were down by 3% to £17.6billion.
