Wind giant Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has axed more than 700 jobs in the US and Europe.
The Spanish firm, which merged with Siemens last year, has confirmed that 740 layoffs were made in Denmark and the US.
Blade assembly facilities in Kansas will see its headcount reduced by around 140 positions.
The bulk of the jobs will be cut from the Aalborg blades plant in Demark.
