A proposal for the erection of new turbines in Highland Perthshire has been rejected by the Scottish Government.
Originally lodged in 2014, the application looked to secure the go-ahead for 25 turbines at a height of 115 meters near Amulree.
The site hoped to generate enough electricity to power 54, 000 homes.
However, it was strongly opposed by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), the RSPB and Scottish Natural Heritage.
The site was originally rejected by Perth and Kinross council back in 2015, but has finally been put to bed by the Scottish Governments categorical shutting down of the project.
The final rejection of the 25 turbine site has been welcomed by a number of community councils including Aberfeldy, Glenlyon and Loch Tay who also originally opposed the proposed wind farm.
