Inverurie-based energy services company, HB Rentals, have snagged a £500,000 contract to provide offshore accommodation and workspace solutions to the offshore wind sector.
Supplying to Walney Offshore Wind Farm, the company will provide stand-alone temporary living quarters alongside auxiliary support equipment for two independent jack-up barges.
As part of the six figure contract, the package also includes the provision of welfare facilities to the project, such as a galley, dining room as well as a locker and wash room.
Situated in the Irish Sea, HB Rentals are also responsible for all design and engineering of on-site grillage and the instillation, hook-up and commissioning by the companies technicians.
Commenting on the contract award, Norman Porter, managing director at HB Rentals Aberdeen, said: “This contract award highlights the current strength of our core accommodation business and demonstrates our capability in offering completely stand-alone accommodation solutions to our clients.”
This fresh contract comes on the back of several other contract wins for HB Rentals who have recently celebrated the deployment of contracts in West Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, Norway, Israel, Germany and the Netherlands.
