Cavendish Nuclear has become a “gold premier partner” of Caithness Chamber of Commerce for the next five years.
The company has been operating in the area as a supplier delivering a range of projects on the Dounreay site.
Chamber chief executive Trudy Morris said: “We are delighted that Cavendish has made the decision to commit to a five-year premier partnership with the chamber.
“They have long been supportive of the work that the chamber does to support and grow the economy of the area, and this commitment represents a real vote of confidence not just in the chamber and its work but in the economic future of the North Highlands.
“Cavendish Nuclear has played a vital role in Dounreay decommissioning for a number of years and has already brought significant benefits to the local supply chain and to the wider economy.
“The nuclear industry has long been a key sector for the north Highlands, and it is fantastic to see Cavendish Nuclear make such a clear commitment to the future of the industry in this area.”
Cavendish Nuclear chief executive Simon Bowen added: “We are proud of the long-standing relationship we have with the chamber of commerce and the local Highlands and islands area.
“We recognise the important role we play in the local area as a key supplier to the Dounreay site. This is reflected in our ongoing commitment and support to the chamber and its mission to create a vibrant north Highland economy that is successful, sustainable and diverse.”
