Offshore wind developer Ørsted has contracted Aberdeen’s Attollo Offshore for the deployment of a jack-up vessel to support work on the Borkum Riffgrund 2 wind farm situated in the German North Sea.
Attollo confirmed today that they will support the deployment of the jack-up vessel between June and July, with the potential for a 120 day extension.
The 450MW wind development is owned and operated by Danish firm Ørsted and will see the construction of 56 offshore turbines.
Attollo Offshore has supported similar projects in the past, such as the UK’s Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm back in 2016.
Foundation installation began on the Borkum Riffgrund 2 development back in July 2017.
