International renewable service company BayWa r.e. has today announced the purchase of Scottish renewable energy service provider Becon Consultancy.
The Munich-headquarters BayWa r.e. currently has 4.5 GW of assets under operations management and is active in Europe, the US, Australia, Africa and Central America.
Becon Consultancy, a renewable energy service provider based in Stirling since 2009 and who have executed contracts with the likes of SSE, today described the deal as “a perfect fit”.

BayWa r.e. has built up strong growth in the UK market and has a portfolio of over 1 GW of utility-scale wind and solar projects.
The company also oversees operation and maintenance of the biggest solar farm in Northern Ireland and most recently a two-year contract for the management of solar plants on behalf of METKA EGN.
