An 18,000tonne platform has been successfully and safely installed at its final destination at a German North Sea windfarm.
The BorWin3 Gamma platform began its 7,400mile journey from a Dubai shipyard a month ago.
The platform has to pass through the Suez Canal on its way to its final destination.
Oilfield services firm Petrofac completed the successful installation.
The platform will then go past Gibraltar, through the Bay of Biscay and into the North Sea where Petrofac will integrate it with the jacket 80miles off the German coast.
The energy services firm successfully installed the 10,000tonne gamma jacket in May.
Once completed, the BorWin3 project will power nearly a million homes.
