Total has partnered with ChargePoint to increase the UK’s electric vehicle fueling stations.
Chargepoint is the world’s largest electric vehicle charging network, has 55,000 stations worldwide and plans to increase that to 2.5million by 2025.
The partnership with Total comes as several European countries including the UK have committed to banning the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles in the coming decades.
It’s estimated more than half of cars worldwide will be electric by 2040.
The deal will “lay the groundwork” for give businesses across the UK the opportunity to have charging networks as the number of EV drivers increases.
