NEXT year’s All-Energy show in Aberdeen is shaping up to be another record-breaker.
The 2011 event attracted around 8,000 people from 50-plus countries, while there were nearly 600 exhibitors from 20 countries.
The 2012 show will be at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on May 23-24.
Event manager Jamie Thompson, of Reed Exhibitions, said yesterday: “Space for the 12th show in the annual series is selling fast, with more than 60% of show space already reserved or booked by exhibitors from home and overseas.
“With some 7,500square metres (80,729sq ft) of saleable space available to exhibitors in three inter-connected halls – compared to 6,600sqm (71,041sq ft) in two halls in 2011 – we are well ahead of this time last year; and space inquiries are coming in thick and fast.
“We are delighted by the positive reaction to our plan for new features.
“These include a series of themed areas within the exhibition, all of which will be supported in the conference.
“Offshore maintenance is where offshore wind will meet oil and gas, highlighting the natural synergy between the sectors; Smart Energy@All-Energy will focus on energy efficiency and energy management; and the low-carbon vehicle areas will deal with both vehicles and infrastructure.
“All-Energy 2012 will also include a series of sector-specific trails. These will encompass wave and tidal; onshore wind; offshore wind; bioenergy; solar; and renewable heat, with trails also devoted to investment, jobs, smart energy (energy efficiency and energy management), and low-carbon transport.”
Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) said yesterday that exhibitor space and sponsorship opportunities on Aberdeen City and Shire’s pavilion at All-Energy 2012 was fast running out.
The pavilion has grown in size every year.
Next year’s will feature a new VIP lounge plus more than 10,000sq ft of renewable energy innovation and business solutions.
Morag McCorkindale, AREG’s chief operating officer, said: “The significant growth in Aberdeen exhibitor numbers for 2012 mirrors our increasing high-profile at All-Energy along with the prime position of the regional pavilion which ensures an exceptionally high level of traffic.
“The pavilion provides exhibitors and sponsors with the ideal platform to showcase their latest innovations, technology and expertise to both a UK and global audience. This was evident last year when our exhibitors experienced a significant increase in both the quality and number of inquiries. As a result, this created important new business leads and contacts.”
