THE final designs for a nine-turbine windfarm on Donside will go on show to the public next month.
Developers Infinis Energy want to build the 377ft turbines near a derelict farmhouse at Tibberchindy, three miles west of Alford.
The green energy firm has already consulted the public at an exhibition in September, and has used that feedback while finalising its designs for the scheme.
Residents will now be given the chance to view the proposals during a two-day exhibition at the Grampian Transport Museum at Alford.
Project manager Ben Ridder said: “Following our first public exhibition in September, we want to present our final design for the Tibberchindy windfarm to local residents and their representatives prior to submitting the planning application.
“We held our first exhibition in early September and found the input and views of local residents invaluable in developing our proposals and addressing immediate concerns.”
During the event representatives from Infinis will be on hand to answer any questions about the scheme. Infinis lodged a proposal of application notice with Aberdeenshire Council in August and immediately began carrying out surveys and engaging with the public. The company has previously been granted planning permission for the Gordonstown Hill windfarm near Kirkton of Auchterless.
The exhibitions will be on November 1, from 4-8pm, and November 2, from 9am-noon.
