Scottish utility SSE said today that it had transferred nine clean energy investments into a £95million fund.
SSE had overseen the portfolio through its SSE Ventures subsidiary, but the companies, including wave energy firm Aquamarine Power, have become part of Scottish Equity Partners’ Environmental Energies Fund (EEF).
SSE Ventures will also become a partner in EEF.
SSE finance director Gregor Alexander said: “By moving our cleantech investments into the EEF we can ensure the companies are able to benefit from the track record and expertise of SEP, draw upon the financial resources of the new partners and ultimately deliver a better return on our initial investment.”
