PLANS for a proposed new windfarm in central Caithness are to go on public display for the first time next week.
The 13-turbine application is on 360 acres of rough grazing off the A9 at Achkeepster, south of Spittal.
The Bad a Cheo project by RWE npower renewables already have the 21-turbine windfarm at Causewaymire and is in the throes of develop-ing two more in Caith-ness at Stroupster and Yarrow.
Residents are being invited to attend an exhibition on its latest scheme in Halkirk’s Ross Institute on Wednesday.
On display will be information and photo-montages the developers have prepared on how the 13 turbines will fit into the landscape.
Residents will have the opportunity to question company representatives on concerns they may have about the 33MW proposal.
They will also hear about the prospective community benefits package should the scheme get the green light.
