Aberdeenshire-based Ferguson Group is expanding in Stavanger for the second time in two years.
Founded in 1986, the Ferguson Group, which specialises in the rental of containers as well as accommodation and engineering modules to the offshore energy industry, decided to move into Norway in 1999.
With ongoing assistance from SDI, the company’s Norwegian subsidiary – Ferguson Norge – has gone from strength to strength.
Last year the company moved its business premises to a larger yard complex and this year it will be relocating again to a purpose-built office.
Steven Ferguson, the company’s managing director, said: “The Norwegian market is key for us as it continues to provide us with opportunities to expand the range of containers, accommodation and NORSOK-accredited workspace solutions we have on offer.
“International trade accounted for 75% of our business in 2011 and we aim to continue to expand upon this in the future.
“The expansion into a new yard and office complex in the heart of oil and gas operations in Stavanger later this year will provide us with a solid foundation to support even more future growth.”
