AREG has become a key catalyst in helping to develop the local economy.
With an estimated leverage of approximately £268million, the real business and economic benefits being seen as a result of the private-public partnership’s work, with the support of both local councils, is a clear demonstration of its drive and commitment to the future of Scottish renewables.
Through its public and private links, AREG continues to build vital bridges for the industry and engage with partners, world energy cities, Government, public bodies and other projects and initiatives.
It also promotes the industry through a number of initiatives such as active and inclusive member events, international trade programmes, flagship projects and its activities surrounding the development of All-Energy.
“A key factor in AREG’s success is in driving forward projects identified as adding economic value to the region,” said Ms McCorkindale.
“We are determined to help Scotland achieve its renewable energy targets and to help local companies access the significant business opportunities available in the sector – and this includes the EOWDC.”
AREG, along with project partners Vattenfall and Technip and industry leaders, are to host a conference session focusing on the EOWDC at All-Energy which runs at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre from May 23 to 24. The session will take place on May 23, starting at 4pm.
