North-east firm SeaEnergy posted profits of £25.3million for 2011 today off the back of the sale of its windfarm business.
Westhill-based SeaEnergy, which made losses of £5.7million in 2010, sold SeaEnergy Renewables for £32.8million in June last year.
It had no revenue in 2011, however, and operating losses of £3.6million were up slightly on the year before.
SeaEnergy said it was continuing with its plans to build a business offering operations and maintenance service vessels for the provision of technicians and services to offshorewind farms and other sites.
It also said it could make acquisitions as it looks to build a group of “innovative energy services businesses” aand develop additional services for the energy industry.
