A controversial bid to build a huge windfarm in rural Aberdeenshire will be presented to the public next week.
Green energy firm PNE Wind UK has revealed plans to set up 12 turbines across acres of farming land near Hatton, south of Peterhead.
If approved, the development would be the biggest of its kind in the Buchan area.
The masts, which are earmarked for a site known as Hill of Braco, have already attracted a backlash from nearby residents.
An awareness group has been launched to fight the proposals, arguing that new planning regulations are needed to ensure turbine developments like this don’t impact on nearby homes.
Now PNE has announced a series of consultation sessions to give locals the chance to check out the plans and speak to developers.
The first exhibition will be held at the Episcopalian Church Hall at Longside on Tuesday.
Further sessions will take place in Longhaven Hall and Hatton Village Hall later in the week.
Feedback from residents will be used to draw up an application for planning permission, which is expected to be tabled with Aberdeenshire Council before the end of the year.
The company agreed to host sessions after talks with locals.
