Aberdeen-based health and safety training firm Falck Nutec said yesterday it had become the first company to receive accreditation for two RenewableUK courses.
The courses are in working at height and rescue: wind turbines and marine safety training.
They will both be taught at the firm’s Teesside centre at which it launched a £600,000 extension last year, including a 77.7-foot wind-turbine training tower and external boat-transfer simulator.
Lisa Dodds, business-development manager for renewable-energy at the company, which has predominantly served the oil and gas industry, said: “We are already attracting delegates from a range of UK-wide round-one and round-two projects, and a number of multinational clients.
“Once the round-three offshore windfarms are operational, we will no doubt benefit from the majority of these being located on the east coast of the country.”
