Deloitte UK’s Renewables Leader says there is lots to do for companies to hit their ambitious net zero targets.
Deloitte UK’s Renewables Leader Daniel Grosvenor believes energy companies are facing a major challenge in achieving their carbon neutrality aims by 2050.
There is low hanging fruit that will give companies some quick wins early, but the scale of the shift required means huge investment is necessary and significant challenges remain.
Mr Grosvenor estimates that up to £1 trillion will be needed to deliver net zero by 2050, and has urged government to support investment by creating the right market framework.
Deloitte is a Principal Partner of our Energy Transition Idea Exchange (ETIDEX) event on November 19, where Daniel Grosvenor will join a panel including speakers from SSE Renewables, the ECITB, Neptune Energy and Wood to discuss the Corporate Response to Net Zero.
