Norwegian energy giant Equinor has announced planned changes to its corporate structure.
Chief executive Anders Opedal said the changes would help Equinor become a broad energy company, which will involve growing profits from renewables and developing low carbon technology.
The new corporate structure will consist of six business areas.
The current organisational structure will remain in place until June 1, 2021.
Equinor’s six business areas will be exploration and production Norway; E&P international; renewables; technology, digital and innovation; projects, drilling and procurement; marketing, midstream and processing.
The corporate committee will be as follows from June 1:
- President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Anders Opedal.
- Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Executive Vice President (EVP) Svein Skeie (Acting).
- Exploration & Production Norway (EPN), EVP Kjetil Hove.
- Exploration & Production International (EPI), EVP Al Cook.
- Marketing, Midstream & Processing (MMP), EVP Irene Rummelhoff.
- Renewables (REN), EVP Pål Eitrheim.
- Projects, Drilling & Procurement (PDP), EVP Arne Sigve Nylund.
- Technology, Digital & Innovation (TDI), EVP Carri Lockhart.
- Safety, Security & Sustainability (SSU), EVP Jannicke Nilsson.
- Legal & Compliance (LEG), EVP Siv Helen Rygh Torstensen.
- People & Organisation (PO), EVP Ana Fonseca Nordang.
