Aberdeen Maritime Museum features twice on the shortlist for the enterprising museum award category at the Arts and Business Scotland Awards.
This section recognises entrepreneurial partnerships that have delivered “an ambitious high-impact museums experience”.
The maritime museum has been recognised for its tie-ups with Maersk Oil North Sea UK and Taqa Bratani.
The awards celebrate the most outstanding and creative partnerships between businesses and arts organisations in Scotland.
Winners will be announced at a dinner in the Assembly Rooms, in Edinburgh, on Wednesday, October 24.
A&B Scotland chief executive Barclay Price said: “This year’s shortlist demonstrates the extent to which business benefits from engaging with Scotland’s flourishing arts scene. From substantial sponsorships such as Accenture’s support for Scottish Opera to smaller partnerships such as that between The Wee Curry Shop and Glasgow Film Theatre, businesses both big and small are gaining real value from creative partnerships, and making a vital contribution to Scotland’s cultural and social life.”
