Viking SeaTech have appointed Adrian Bannister as chief financial officer.
Mr Bannister has 25 years experience in the oilfield services sector including roles at Sparrows Offshore and Stork Technical Services.
He said: “I am delighted to join Viking SeaTech at such a pivotal time for the company. We have a talented team, are geographically well positioned and have supportive stakeholders. The services sector is buoyant and, with Viking SeaTech’s strategic vision, I see tremendous opportunity for growth and development.”
Offshore support specialists Viking SeaTech recently announced contract wins with Shell and Santos in Australia. The services agreements are in collaboration with Shell Development Pty Ltd, and Santos, one of Australia’s largest oil and gas exploration and production companies.
Viking SeaTech will work in conjunction with Shell for the next three years, with options for two further one year extensions. Similarly, the initial deal with Santos will be for two years and three months including the opportunity to continue the partnership for three additional one year periods.
Group Chief Executive Bill Bayliss welcomed Mr Bannister’s appointment, as the company looks to strengthen their position as a global offshore support provider.
Mr Bayliss said: “Adrian’s appointment will act as a catalyst for our future ambitions. He has exceptional experience and knowledge of the energy industry. In his role he will be identifying and implementing business programmes which improve our financial visibility, risk management and asset returns. Adrian will be key to geographic expansion strategies as we strengthen our position as a global leader in the sector.”
