A Scottish hydro-power developer has opened an office in Inverness as part of plans to expand in the Highlands. Perth-based Green Highland Renewables, which specialises in small and medium-scale projects, said yesterday it had recruited three people at its new base in Fairways Business Park. Managing director Ian Cartwright said: “We are gearing up further, not least to deliver the package of contracts for Forestry Commission Scotland that we have been prospecting and planning over the past 18 months but also looking towards new opportunities and initiatives as a key contributor to Scotland’s ambitious self-sufficient electricity target by 2020.”
