Energy services group 3sun has appointed Andrew Elmes as its first renewables director.
The former Siemens head of Uk projects takes up the new role, which aims to drive the Aberdeen-based firm’s onshore and offshore wind projects.
He joins the company from Australian company, Tenix Infrastructure, having previously spent 12 years in the Army, reaching the rank of Major with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
“The depth of experience and knowledge Andrew has, not only of the renewable energy sector, but also in the leadership and strategic delivery of projects will be invaluable to the company going forward,” said 3sun managing director.
“We created this role to strengthen the company’s ability to deliver on its long-term growth targets across Europe. I look forward to working with Andrew and the management team to achieve these objectives.”
