Women in Renewable Energy Scotland is on the hunt for mentors to help women plan and progress their careers in the renewables sector.
WiRES, which was launched in November last year with Big Lottery funding, is a network to bring together women working in the renewable eneryg sector in Scotland.
The group is now working with Women’s Enterprise Scotland to design and deliver a mentoring scheme to members.
“Mentors and mentees will receive intensive support to help them to reflect on their day-to-day work, training and skills, and potential career paths,” said Gail Watt, chair of the WiRES steering group.
“This programme will help women to better plan and progress in the renewable energy sector and as a result we will be a step forward towards a more equal and diverse workforce.”
The closing date to apply to become a mentor is Wednesday January 15th.
The scheme is open to applications from women and men from all industries and backgrounds. Click here for more details.
