UK green power firm Renewable Energy Generation says it is experiencing strong momentum in its wind and bioenergy businesses.
Revenue for the six months ending December 31, 2013 of £5.7million, down from £6.5million in the first half of the year, but the firm posted pre-tax profits of £6.5million, compared to a £1.7million loss previously.
During the period, the firm sold the 12MW Goonhilly windfarm to BlackRock for an enterprise value of £25.1million, with a profit of £9.4million to the group.
The proposed interim dividend has increased by 10% to 0.55p per ordinary share.
Highlights during the second half of 2013 include planning consent for the Ramsey II windfarm, and construction starting on the 4.5MW Goonhilly solar farm.
The firm said around 140MW of wind capacity across 15 projects was awaiting consent in the UK planning system.
With bio-power, a construction contract has been signed for the 18MW bio-power plant in Selby, Yorkshire.
The firm operates 14 wind projects to a total capacity of 67.15MW in Cambridgeshire, Cornwall, County Durham, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria and Gwynedd. It says it has a wind development pipeline of over 1,000MW.
It also runs a power plant in Nottingham from refined used cooking oil.
